First Scouting Report for the War Board

September 26, 2011 2:06 pm

Watched Clemson beat Florida State over the weekend. The guy that caught my eye was the Tigers' NT, Brandon Thompson, No. 98.

He takes on double teams, clogs the middle, gets low. Has the right body type. Would love to see the Steelers land him as Casey Hampton's heir apparent.

Vegas odds are helping the Steelers chances

August 3, 2011 4:46 pm
Edited on: August 3, 2011 4:58 pm

Every darn year, you get Vegas posting the odds of team reaching and ultimately winning the Super Bowl. Every year it seems the perenial favoites, or flavors of the season do not make it and it's like clockwork. My take is that it is much easier to make the Super Bowl if you are anywhere from 15-1 to 10-1.  Right now Green Bay and New England are the odds on favorites. Vegas recently dropped the Steelers odds from 10-1 to 14-1.  They actually think San Diego at 11-1 has a better shot.  REALLY?

 About This Group
This is a group for Steeler fans, no outside interest or outside fans. Very little off-topics, personal discussions about life only if it pertains to football. Discuss the state of our team, break down each week, talk about futre draft picks, Bleed Black and Gold only. Personal disagreements between members should be taken up off this board, infighting is not productive. Disagreements in philosophy is always welcome. There are many groups forming, if you want to join us but are not a Steeler fan I have to tell you that you will be disappointed. I want it 100% Steeler fans, don't take it personal. We need credible posters so if you are just starting out, post on the Steeler Main Board so we can see your intentions. No Trolls allowed basically.

Interests: Pittsburgh Steelers
