This would be my first post to the group and would like to shout out to everybody, "GO
Steelers!" We are entering the Second Steel Dynasty and I can see Pittsburgh losing no more than three games this year (providing the team avoids any catstrophic injuries or tragedies). I think the O-line, though vunerable at times, is pretty stable,
Limas Sweed through the course of the season, will be a significant upgrade from
Nate Washington, while Mendenhall reduces the load on Parker quite effectively. Defensively....well, the stingiest defense with the toughest schedule last year will be just as tight and relentless as ever. Not too hard to predict a great season; but from us guys who still remember the Dick Shiner and Gene Mingo days, (and never want to return to them), it's also very easy to get excited for the upcoming season. Thanks for excepting me to the group and I can't wait for the start of the journey to Super Bowl win #7.

I will not predict our record, turnovers and injuries are our biggest obstacle right now, and I would not want to be the jinx of 2009 by boldly predicting anything more than better than average. I love the optimism, but I have some bad news. We do not fare well against the NFC North, historically they rise up and play above their normal self, so I never count my wins until the clock reads 0:00.

Welcome on board! Stop in and post often., This group will get a lot more active in about a month (less than a month) when Training camp opens and then when we start playing...
I'm with NY on predictions.. the season record I want is the one that puts us in the playoffs.. But not with him re the NFC North - the last time we played them - I remember The BUS steamrolling Ur-slacker in the snow at Heinz and setting us up for a SB run... Will we repeat that feat? - time will tell!
enjoy,

Welcome to the board. It is filled with very passionate and educated Steeler fans. We may disagree with the how's and why's of the front office and question the offensive coordinator on a dailey basis, but it is great fun. Welcome again,

The new guy is expected to buy a round for the veterans so make mine an Iron City.
This is a great group and as NY has already pointed out you're going to get educated opinions from people who really know the Steelers. We disagree with respect and agonize over things that other teams would love to consider problems, but that's what's great about being a Steelers fan. We've got the best organization in sports and the best fan base. Steelers Nation is everywhere.
